“Using color and gesture, I begin my paintings with a notion to express what engages me emotionally or what I find aesthetically impactful. The outcome of my work is never predetermined; instead, it develops organically, guided by intuition and an unwavering commitment to the joy of discovery. Light plays a pivotal role, sometimes illuminating the shapes and other times engulfing them in a vast expanse that resonates with me. Each painting expresses my identity in the present moment, encapsulating my observations, experiences, and memories. As I work, I remain attuned to the canvas, allowing the evolving process to guide the direction and ultimate realization of the piece.”
