“I translate emotion and perception into color, gesture, and light. My paintings give form to the intangible—memory, atmosphere, and fleeting feeling—often sparked by color, light, or the emotional charge of a place.
Working intuitively, primarily in oil, I allow each piece to evolve through gesture, material, and surprise. Though abstract, the work is rooted in expression. At times, there is a moment of grace, where the painting develops with a sense of simplicity, each stroke finding its place. At other times, the process is more extended, with each mark or gesture leading to the next until the work resolves itself.”
